The Rabblecast

Get ready for a big episode!

We talk about the recent passing of some notable artists. Chuck Berry(aged 90), was an American guitarist, singer and songwriter and one of the pioneers of rock and roll music. Berry was among the first musicians to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on its opening in 1986; he was cited for having "laid the groundwork for not only a rock and roll sound but a rock and roll stance.

Bernie Wrightson(aged 68), was an American artist, known for co-creating the Swamp Thing, his adaptation of the novel Frankenstein illustration work, and for his other horror comics and illustrations, which feature his trademark intricate pen and brush work.

We also delve deep into the recent celebrity hacks, more specifically, the leaked photos/videos of WWE Diva Paige. Should WWE take action against Paige for something that was done a few years ago? If they do, is their action justified considering that it happened outside of the workplace with other consenting adults? And why is there a condemnation of victims in situations like this?

On this week, we venture into the dangerous minefield that is the debate on racism. The difference between cultural insensitivity and cultural ignorance. If you should say something and how it can affect the workplace. Jimmy does his best attempts at describing the plot of the recent movie release of Get Out by director Jordan Peele.

We also take a look at the upcoming Summer Blockbuster season and the fact that it's starting earlier and earlier with each passing year. Summer movies released in March?

With this episode, we hit the 35th time that Doug has presented a "Horrible Event in History"! If our Horrible Event segment is one of your favorites, then you should go back and check out the previous entries. For the 35th entry, Doug brings us the tragic and mysterious story of Elisa Lam.

Get ready for a very chaotic, but funny episode. Somewhere along way we start talking about the passing of Bill Paxton(aged 61) and the different films he was a part of(Terminator, Weird Science, Aliens, Titanic, etc.). Then we veer off onto how Hollywood writers might come up with some of their insane projects that eventually get made into some kind of movie.

Our curiosity with the creative process is nothing new. But we do let our creativity loose as we envision what can only be described as a classic episode of the show. We talk about the passing of Bill Paxton, "Judge" Joseph Wapner(aged 97), Alan Colmes(aged 66), and Ion Croitoru aka Bruiser Bedlam(aged 53).
